Golden Circle with a Twist of Glacier is a Super Jeep excursion from Reykjavik, run by Boreal. A Boreal driver-guide does the driving and guests ride as passengers, so this is a guided day rather than a self-drive trip. It is a small-group tour of 8 to 10 hours covering about 320 to 340 km, with pick-up at 8:30.

The tour takes in the standard Golden Circle sights. Geysir is on the route, where the operator notes that its smaller neighbour Strokkur erupts roughly every five minutes. Gullfoss waterfall is described as neither the highest nor the most powerful in Iceland, but the most famous. Þingvellir, the ancient Parliament site where two continental plates are drifting apart to form a rift valley, is an essential part of the day.

The twist is Langjökull, which the operator describes as the second largest glacier in Europe. If conditions are positive the Super Jeep drives and the group walks on the glacier, and Boreal makes the access depend on conditions on the day. The route also passes the Hengill volcano, where geothermal heat is used to warm local homes. The route can change with the season, the road, snow and weather conditions.

A snowmobiling tour can be added when conditions allow, but it is not included in the price. Boreal recommends good shoes, warm wind and waterproof clothing and sunglasses.
