Her Ice Performance (Levi, Finland)

Four nights at Levi in Finnish Lapland, guided, ice driving in Porsches as a women-only entry-level group, with the price quoted on application.

This is the beginners’ programme in the women-only format, and the second day is given a genuine break from the driving: a husky safari through the Arctic landscape, which is not a filler but one of the better things to do in Lapland.

Kittila airport opens it, with a shuttle to the Levi Spirit Resort, where the accommodation is private villas with saunas, and a welcome dinner. The first driving day begins with a briefing and runs instructor-led sessions on snow and ice, with a track dinner and the sauna or yoga optional. The second takes in the husky safari in the morning, a lunch and more driving in the afternoon. The third builds to drifting refinement and a closing challenge, with a farewell dinner after it.

The cars are provided throughout, from 911 Carrera and GTS variants to the electric Taycan, which behaves quite differently on ice and is instructive for that reason; the full inclusions were not itemised on the operator’s page and are worth confirming at booking. The price is given on application. The programme runs in the depths of the northern winter, which is what makes the huskies and the ice both possible. For a first go at low-grip driving in a women-only group, this is the entry point, and the operator’s intensive version adds one-to-one coaching over the same programme. Five days with three on the ice and a morning behind a dog team is a well-balanced week rather than a relentless one.
