White Nights 2027 (Scandinavia)
Cross the Arctic Circle at exactly 66°34’N, then a 6-day Hurtigruten cruise stopping each morning to drive the Atlantic Road, ranked by Norway’s own tourist board the best road trip in the world – eighteen nights across Scandinavia.

18 nights through Norway
Eighteen nights across Scandinavia, a classic car rally chasing the midnight sun, with six nights aboard a coastal ship.
The ship is the unusual part. After the drive north to Kirkenes, the cars go aboard the Hurtigruten and the rally disembarks each morning to drive a section of coast and meet the ship again further down, which solves the problem of a return leg nobody wants to drive.
Copenhagen opens it for two nights, then the Oresund crossing and Jonkoping, Stockholm with a rest day, Mora in the Dalarna lake country, and Ostersund. Swedish Lapland follows at Lycksele, with reindeer and a barbecue lunch, then Lulea on the Baltic, and Levi in Finland across the Arctic Circle at 66 degrees 34 north. Inari and Kirkenes near the Russian border come next, then the ship, with the Atlantic Road among the sections driven on the way south.
Two nights in Copenhagen, thirteen further hotel nights in a twin or double, breakfast daily, five nights on the Hurtigruten with full board and the car carried, the welcome and gala dinners, the other evening meals, some lunches, an experienced team, mechanical support, GPS and a roadbook, rally plates and a photographer and photobook are all included; flights, shipping to the start, insurance, visas, fuel and personal costs are not. Eligible cars run to 1990. June is the month, for the light that never quite goes: above the Arctic Circle the sun does not set at all, which changes how a long driving day feels and makes the late evening sections some of the best of the route. Nineteen days is a serious commitment, and the ship carrying the cars south is what keeps it from becoming a slog.
