10 nights through Greece

Eleven days. Ancient civilisations. Spectacular mountain roads and a side of Greece few visitors ever discover.

From Athens to Thessaloniki, Ancient Greece is a Grand Tour through the heart of mainland Greece, combining remarkable classical and Byzantine heritage with dramatic mountain passes, deep gorges, beautiful lakes and traditional towns far removed from the familiar island resorts.

History sets the scene. Leave Athens via the spectacular Corinth Canal before travelling to Sparta and the remarkable Byzantine ruins of Mystras, set against the slopes of Mount Taygetos. Cross the dramatic Langada Pass before continuing through the Peristeriona Gorge and across the impressive Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge.

The mountains deliver the adventure. Follow the Ionian coast to Preveza and explore the island of Lefkada before heading inland through the rugged Tzoumerka mountains and the Arachthos Gorge. Discover the extraordinary monasteries of Meteora, perched atop towering sandstone pillars, then enjoy time in Ioannina, with its atmospheric lakeside castle and historic island.

The journey concludes in northern Greece. Cross the Pindos mountains to Kastoria, a beautiful lakeside town known for its Byzantine churches and traditional architecture, before the final drive to Thessaloniki. Throughout, Classic Rallies combines spectacular driving with hand-picked hotels, regional dining, private guided sightseeing and the pleasure of exploring Greece behind the wheel of a classic car. Your participation includes 10 nights of carefully selected accommodation, the meals specified in the itinerary, private guided sightseeing, a comprehensive road book, event materials, event photography, and mechanical and medical support. Flights, vehicle hire or transport, fuel, tolls, insurance, repairs and visas are additional. Prices are per person, based on two people sharing a car and room.
