7 nights through France

Seven nights from Heidelberg through the Palatinate to Champagne and Alsace, in a Porsche, with a track day at the start.

Heidelberg opens it with dinner on a rooftop bar overlooking the castle. The Porsche Experience Center at the Hockenheimring follows, booked exclusively for four hours, with a handling course and individual instructor laps: the circuit itself has hosted the German Grand Prix and the centre beside it is purpose-built for this.

Deidesheim comes next with a gourmet dinner, then Metz by way of Fort Casso, a bunker complex from the interwar Maginot line, and the cathedral. Troyes follows in Champagne, with a shuttle to Epernay for a private Moet and Chandon cellar tour, a reception in an orangerie taken exclusively and a champagne dinner. The Drappier estate comes next with a tasting and lunch in the vineyards, then Troyes again and a reception in a former church, with Colmar in Alsace at the end and dinner by a two-Michelin-starred chef.

Seven nights of bed and breakfast at four and five-star hotels, the lunches with soft drinks, the dinners, the wine and champagne tastings, a roadmap and digital route, the exclusive four-hour hire of the Porsche Experience Center with certified instructors, a chosen Porsche GT model and the fuel are all included; drinks with dinner are not. Participants may bring their own Porsche instead. Eight days is the longest thing the operator runs outside Switzerland, and the shape is unusual: a track day at one end and a champagne cellar at the other, with the Maginot line in between.
