Fourteen nights around Florida, from the theme parks to the Keys to the shelling beaches of the Gulf coast. Flights, car and hotels are arranged together from the UK with a road book for the driving.

Four nights in Orlando open it, which is what the parks actually need. Then the drive south to three nights at Miami Beach for the Art Deco strip, Little Havana, the murals at Wynwood and the Venetian Pool cut into the coral rock at Coral Gables. The Overseas Highway follows, hopping the islands to two nights in Key West, with the diving off Key Largo on the way and the Christ of the Deep statue standing on the seabed in Pennekamp park.

The return crosses the state on the Tamiami Trail through the Everglades, where canoe and airboat trips go out into the sawgrass. Two nights at Naples and three on Sanibel Island close the trip, and Sanibel is the point: the island sits across the current at an angle that piles shells onto the beach, and collecting them is close to a local sport.

Around 690 miles over a fortnight, with only four real driving days, so this is among the most relaxed trips they offer. Siesta Key can be added if you want longer on the Gulf. One thing to confirm when you enquire: the itinerary finishes on Sanibel while the page elsewhere describes a round trip from Orlando, and the return flight can go from Tampa, Miami or Orlando. It suits a family, or anyone who wants beaches and parks rather than mileage.
