Road to Italy Tour: 2026 KTM Europe Adventure Rally

Eleven nights from Bavaria to Umbria, guided, nineteen hundred kilometres on a KTM Adventure, finishing at the KTM Europe Adventure Rally.

The point of this one is the logistics. The rally in Gubbio draws riders from across Europe, and getting there on your own bike from a long way off is most of the problem; here the machine is supplied and the ride down is the holiday.

Erding in Germany is the start, then the Attersee in the Austrian lake district, with a visit to the KTM MotoHall at Mattighofen, the company’s own museum beside the factory. Lienz in East Tyrol follows, then Obereggen in the Dolomites, Castelfranco Veneto on the Venetian plain, and Rignano sull’Arno outside Florence. Tuscany then carries the route south into Umbria for Gubbio, a hill town of grey limestone built up the side of Monte Ingino, where the rally runs over three days in September.

The choice of eligible KTM Adventure model, the hotels, the guiding throughout and the motorcycle logistics are included; flights are not, and the full inclusions were not itemised on the operator’s page, so they are worth settling at booking. A navigation device is required, either a GPS unit or a phone capable of working offline, which on the rally’s own route sections is not optional. The price shown is per person for the 2026 departure. The dates are fixed to the rally in early September, which is a good month for both the Alps and central Italy: the passes are open, the Tuscan heat has eased and the roads have emptied. Twelve days with the ride down included makes this a tour with an event at the end rather than an event with a transfer attached.
