10 nights through Austria

Ten nights and roughly 2,460 kilometres from the Austrian Tyrol to the Adriatic and back, ridden alone rather than in a group. The tour is self-guided, so it can be booked solo and started on any date, and there is no group pace to keep up with or wait for.

The outbound leg crosses the Dolomites to Brunico, then drops into Slovenia for Bovec in the Soca valley, where the river runs an improbable shade of turquoise. Rijeka follows, and then Zadar along the Jadranska Magistrala, the Adriatic coastal road that hugs the Croatian shoreline and is one of the great coast roads in Europe.

The Plitvice Lakes mark the turn, with their chain of terraced lakes and waterfalls, and the return route is deliberately loaded. Postojna Cave, Lake Bled, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the Nockalm Road and finally the Timmelsjoch at 2,509 metres all appear before the finish back at Mieming. Three hotel tiers are offered, from guest houses up to four star superior, which is what moves the price.

Edelweiss include a choice of BMW motorcycle, the accommodation at the chosen tier and a tour book with the route loaded for navigation. There is no guide, by design. Flights are separate and the inclusions are not itemised in full on the operator’s page. Prices run from 2,760 to 2,820 euros per person for 2026 depending on hotel category, which makes this the cheapest way into the Edelweiss range by a wide margin. For riders who want the company’s route planning and bikes but would rather travel at their own pace, the self-guided format is the obvious choice.
