15 nights through United States

Fifteen nights in a loop from Las Vegas in a motorhome, round the Colorado Plateau, with the flights included.

Las Vegas takes the first two nights in a hotel, with a helicopter flight over the Strip, before the motorhome is collected. The Grand Canyon follows for two nights, which runs over two hundred and seventy miles long and eighteen at its widest and is a mile deep, then Lake Powell, a reservoir on the Colorado with an extraordinary length of shoreline for a desert lake.

Antelope Canyon comes next on the way to Monument Valley, with its red mesas and buttes, then Mesa Verde, where the Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings were built into the canyon walls and abandoned around seven hundred years ago. Moab follows, with Canyonlands, the largest national park in Utah, and Arches, where a four-wheel drive excursion runs out among the sandstone spans. Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon come next, then Zion before the return to Las Vegas.

Flights, two nights in a Las Vegas hotel, twelve nights of motorhome hire with a slide-out sleeping up to six, a fifteen-hundred-mile pack, linen and essentials, a wifi hotspot and liability cover, the helicopter flight and the Arches four-wheel drive trip are all included; national park entrance fees are payable locally. Sixteen days for this many parks means steady driving, and spring and autumn are the seasons, since summer on the plateau is extreme. A vehicle this size also needs its length checked against the park campsites, several of which have limits.
