Brisbane to Brisbane Self-Guided Motorcycle Tour

Brisbane to Brisbane is a 7-day, 6-night self-guided motorcycle tour of about 1,950 km, starting and finishing in Brisbane, with the bike and hotels arranged by BikeRoundOz. It is a loop, so the ride starts and finishes in the same city.

Early on is Brisbane, with river restaurants, parks and nightlife. Next is the Sunshine Coast hinterland, with rainforest, waterfalls, pineapple plantations and the Glass House Mountains. Then two nights at Rainbow Beach, known for its coloured sand dunes, with an optional 4WD day on Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. After that, 1770, a seaside village with Captain Cook history.

Further along, the Bunya Mountains National Park, an isolated range of ancient rainforest and grassland with the largest stand of bunya pines in the world, reached by steep winding roads. The route continues to Byron Bay and Cape Byron, the most easterly point of Australia. Later comes the Gold Coast, with 57 km of coastline, famous surf breaks near Surfers Paradise, theme parks and a quieter hinterland.

BikeRoundOz provides the motorcycle of your choice, accommodation for one or two riders, usually in 3.5 or 4 star hotels, resorts or bed and breakfasts with a pillion staying at no extra cost, a detailed itinerary document and digital maps customised to the tour, plus advice before you go. Not included are breakfast and other meals, parking charges and GPS or sat nav units, which can be supplied if required. Optional extras such as a Fraser Island 4WD tour and a flight to Lady Elliot Island are priced separately and each needs an extra day added to the tour and bike rental.
