The trip begins with three nights in Vancouver, including two full days in the city and Stanley Park. A ferry leads to Victoria on Vancouver Island, then the road crosses to Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park for two nights. Back on the mainland, the route continues to the mountain resort of Whistler, then east via Salmon Arm to Yoho National Park.

The Icefields Parkway links Yoho with Jasper, with two nights in Jasper and a further two around Banff and Lake Louise. The operator says the route is designed so the Icefields Parkway can be driven twice, and the page also lists an option to add two further days and return to Vancouver by Rocky Mountaineer train. Daily drives run to around 250 miles on the longest days, with several two-night stops.
