14 nights through United States

Fourteen nights in a loop from Denver in a motorhome, across five states, on the larger of the two vehicles offered for this route.

This is the same cowboy country circuit the operator sells with the Cruise America fleet, on a bigger vehicle with a slide-out, a longer mileage pack and a wifi hotspot, and without the flights included, which is the trade.

Denver is the start, then Cheyenne, which calls itself the rodeo capital of the United States, and Mount Rushmore by way of the old Fort Laramie stagecoach post. Devils Tower follows, a volcanic plug standing nearly four hundred metres out of the plain, then Sheridan and Billings through the Little Bighorn battlefield, where Custer’s command was destroyed in 1876. Cody comes next with the Buffalo Bill museums and a summer rodeo every night, then two nights in Yellowstone, Jackson Hole through Grand Teton, Salt Lake City, Dinosaur National Monument and Estes Park.

Fourteen days of motorhome hire sleeping up to six with a twenty-five-hundred-mile pack, GPS and mobile wifi, and a night in a Denver hotel before pickup are included; park entrance fees, campsites and international flights are not. Fifteen days for five states means steady driving, with only Yellowstone getting two nights. The season runs roughly June to September, since the Yellowstone roads close for winter, and no wildlife sighting can be promised, though bison in Yellowstone are close to a certainty. A vehicle this size also needs its length checked against the park campsites, several of which have limits.
