Enduro Tour Tuition Beginners

Four nights at Banya near Bansko, guided, with three days of beginners’ tuition on light off-road trails, for riders with no experience at all.

The course is built for genuine novices. No motorcycle licence is needed and none is assumed, and the progression over three days is from standing start to mountain trails, which is a realistic ambition with a tutor and a light bike.

Sofia airport opens it, with a transfer of about two and a half hours to the Aquilon Spa Hotel at Banya, a briefing with the crew and a meal. The three tuition days follow: clutch control, slow-speed handling, turning, starting and stopping to begin with, then first climbs and descents on light forest trails as confidence builds, with lunch at a village tavern and the evenings in the hotel’s mineral pools. The last morning is breakfast, check-out by noon and the transfer to Sofia.

The GasGas enduro, the off-road tuition from the guide-tutors, the technical support, the riding gear, the fuel, round-the-clock Sofia transfers, a double room at the Aquilon and full board including alcoholic drinks are all included; flights, travel insurance and spa treatments are not, and supplements are published for a single room, late check-out, an extra night and a private transfer. Spring and autumn suit the trail conditions best. Five days with three days of teaching in it is the right starting point for anyone curious about enduro riding, and the operator’s longer trips follow naturally from it. The light bike, the private trails and the absence of any licence requirement remove most of the barriers that keep people off a motorcycle in the first place.
