Ice Force Pro Intense (Levi, Finland)

Four nights at Levi in Finnish Lapland, guided, ice driving a Porsche 911 GT3 with a personal instructor, with the price quoted on application.

This is the most demanding programme the operator runs below its top tier: the Pro-level car and routes, with a solo-use vehicle and one-to-one coaching, and the group capped at five participants.

Kittila airport opens it, with a shuttle to the Hotel Levi Panorama and a welcome dinner at Cloud11. Three driving days follow, each starting with breakfast and a briefing, then individual coaching across several drivetrain layouts, which is instructive in itself: the same exercise in a rear-driven car and then a four-wheel-drive one teaches more than repetition in either. The routes grow progressively longer and harder through the three days, taking in narrow forest sections closer to a rally stage than a circuit, and extra-long handling courses that allow a sequence of corners to be linked properly rather than taken in isolation.

The 911 GT3 is provided for the driver’s sole use throughout; the full inclusions were not itemised on the operator’s page and are worth confirming at booking. The price is given on application. The programme runs in the depths of the northern winter, when the ice is reliable and the daylight short. Previous low-grip experience is assumed rather than taught, and the five-participant cap means this is the version that sells out first. Having the car to yourself also keeps the tyre pressures and settings where the instructor left them, which on a surface this sensitive matters.
