12 nights through South Africa
The full Garden Route, guided and all-inclusive, with a dedicated guide and a support driver. Thirteen days from Cape Town, twelve nights and around 1,320 miles, covering the coast, Route 62, the Winelands and two Big Five safaris at Addo.
Cape Town starts it properly, with the Table Mountain cable car and a guided walk through the painted streets of the Bo-Kaap quarter before a welcome dinner. Then the coast: Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point, the penguins at Boulders Beach, Hermanus, and Cape Agulhas with its 1848 lighthouse at the southern tip of the continent. Mossel Bay gets a rest day, then Knysna and its lagoon, then the Tsitsikamma forest.
Addo is the heart of the whole trip. A private game reserve with a tented camp and a bush dinner comes first, then an anchor day of a guided drive in Addo Elephant National Park and an open-vehicle safari at Schotia. The return heads inland on Route 62 through Oudtshoorn, with an elephant encounter and a braai, then Montagu and its meerkats, and Franschhoek, where the wine tram handles the driving.
EAGLERIDER provides the motorcycle, the tour leader, the support driver, all twelve nights, both safaris and the meals throughout. Fuel and insurance are arranged separately. As with its self-guided twin, the tour is sold as twelve days while the operator’s own itinerary runs to thirteen days and twelve nights. For riders who want South Africa with absolutely nothing left to arrange, this is the fully supported version of it.
