Seven nights from Lisbon to Marbella, self-guided, in a supercar sourced by the operator, with the price quoted on application.

The cars come with the trip here, which is unusual: a limited number of supercars are allocated to registered participants and the event sells out car by car rather than place by place. The operator has been running tours of this kind since 2002 from Geneva.

Lisbon opens it, then Evora, a walled town in the Alentejo with a Roman temple and a world heritage centre, and the Algarve coast. The route then crosses into Spain for Seville, the Andalusian capital, with its cathedral and the Alcazar, and finishes at Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Between them the driving runs through cork oak country, along the southern coast and up into the hills behind it, which is where the interest is.

A sourced supercar for the duration, hotel accommodation throughout at the operator’s usual standard and a planned route are included; international flights, fuel and unspecified meals are not. The price is given on application. Spring and autumn are the seasons, since inland Portugal and Andalusia in July and August are extremely hot and a supercar in traffic is no pleasure in either. Eight days crossing two countries is the longest of the operator’s European road trips, and having the car supplied removes the one thing that usually stops people joining these: nobody has to ship a car to Portugal or drive one home from Spain. The cars are allocated on registration, so the choice narrows as the event fills.
