Monaco Supercars Rally

Four nights based in Monte Carlo, guided, six hundred kilometres of Riviera driving in a supercar with the car supplied.

Basing the whole thing in Monaco is the right call. The Riviera’s best roads all radiate from it, which means three driving days out and back rather than a procession of hotels, and the evenings are spent somewhere worth being.

A private transfer from Nice opens it, with the cars handed over on the marina at the Monte-Carlo Bay and a welcome dinner. The first driving day runs the coast west through Nice, Cannes and Antibes, with lunch at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat on its own peninsula, and back in the afternoon. The second climbs the Col de Turini, the Monte-Carlo Rally stage whose hairpins were run at night by the works teams and are still the best-known piece of road in the Maritime Alps. The third is free in Monte Carlo, for the Cafe de Paris, the Prince’s car collection, the Japanese garden or the pool, with VIP entry to Jimmy’z in the evening.

The supercar for the driving days, five-star hotels on half board, the fuel, the tolls, the parking, the nightclub entry and private transfers both ways from Nice are all included; flights and personal extras are not. The fleet runs to Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Bentley. Spring and autumn are the best of it, since the coast road in August barely moves and the Turini is better without the traffic. Five days with only three of them driving makes this the most relaxed thing the operator runs, and the Turini day is what justifies the price: a road that most people only ever see on television.
