14 nights through Namibia
Fifteen days, guided, on a Royal Enfield 410cc Himalayan, through Namibia’s deserts and along its Atlantic coast.
The operator’s description is a list of landscapes, each one a reason to book. The tour covers about 2,926 km, at four to six hours of riding a day on all terrain, and the operator rates it intermediate. The group travels with a support vehicle, crew and mechanic, and stays in a selection of guesthouses and handpicked hotels, on a twin-sharing basis.
The route begins in the red sands of the Kalahari, one of the largest sand deserts in the world, where the colour of the dunes shifts through the day. From there the group stands on the cliffs of Fish River Canyon, which the operator describes as Africa’s largest canyon. The road then runs along the Skeleton Coast, a rugged and unforgiving stretch of coastline with crashing waves, harsh winds and silent beaches. At Sossusvlei the group walks up some of the world’s highest sand dunes. Along the way the operator says riders may encounter desert-adapted wildlife such as oryx, springbok and desert elephants, though sightings depend on luck and season. Between the big landscapes the tour pauses for good food, comfortable lodgings and the colonial-era history and architecture of the country.
The price is per rider, with a lower pillion rate and a single supplement of US$500. It covers the motorcycle, fuel and spares, accommodation, all meals, local and international guides, a support vehicle, crew and mechanic, airport transfers and entrance fees. Flights, visas, insurance and alcohol are extra. The listed departure is 16 to 30 June 2027. The FAQ block on the page repeats Sri Lanka licence and group-size text, so ask the operator for the Namibia details.
