Orlando Florida Motorcycle Tour

A three-day crossing of Florida, coast to coast and back. Two nights, around 575 miles, and a loop out of Orlando that reaches both the Atlantic and the Gulf without ever feeling like hard work.

Day one runs east then south, passing Titusville and the Kennedy Space Center, where the launch pads and the Saturn V in its hangar are worth the stop whatever the weather, before continuing down the Atlantic shore to Palm Beach. At 217 miles it is comfortably the longest of the three days, and the only one that spends any real time on the Atlantic shore.

The middle day crosses the bottom of the state to Fort Myers on the Gulf coast, a short 130 miles that leaves the afternoon free for the beach or the water. The final day returns north through Tampa and up Highway 41, the old road rather than the interstate, which keeps the last 229 miles rather more interesting than they have any right to be.

EAGLERIDER provides the bike and books both nights, with Harley-Davidson touring models alongside Triumph and BMW sport machines. Fuel, meals and insurance are separate. Florida riding is flat and warm rather than technical, which makes this a sensible choice for a first self-guided trip, or for riders who want the miles and the warmth without a single mountain pass to think about. For anyone already heading to Orlando, it is an easy way to see a great deal more of the state than the theme parks.
