5 nights through Belgium

Five nights in the Belgian Ardennes, based at Spa and Dinant, on a Porsche Club GB tour in members’ own cars, with the Channel crossing included.

Spa-Francorchamps is the centrepiece. The circuit was laid out in 1920 by Jules de Their and Henri Langlois Van Ophem using the public roads between Spa, Malmedy and Stavelot, and the tour includes a behind-the-scenes tour of it, with track laps available separately.

Two nights at Spa open it, with a welcome dinner, then three at Dinant, a town wedged between the Meuse and the cliffs above it with a citadel on top. Sedan follows across the French border, with a three-course lunch at the Fort Hotel and parking inside the chateau walls, which is a rare thing to be offered. Maison Leffe comes next with entry and a beer, then a morning at leisure and a farewell cruise on the Meuse with a saxophone player and a menu named after Adolphe Sax, who was born in Dinant and invented the instrument there.

Return Dover to Calais crossings, two nights at Spa and three at Dinant, the circuit tour and parking, the Sedan lunch and chateau parking, the Leffe entry, the river cruise and menu, breakfast every morning, two dinners, a commemorative rally plaque, a 24-hour helpline and ABTOT protection are all included; the optional track laps cost extra and need a minimum of five cars, and the cruise needs twenty paying guests. This is a club event, open to Porsche Club GB members in their own cars.
