9 nights through Germany

Ten days through the Eifel, Belgium, Luxembourg and northeastern France, on roads chosen for their curves rather than their altitude. The title is accurate: these are long sweeping bends through forest and farmland rather than stacked hairpins, which is a different and in some ways more satisfying kind of riding.

The Nurburgring comes early. The Nordschleife is thirteen miles of circuit through the Eifel hills, nicknamed the Green Hell by Jackie Stewart, and it opens to the public on most days of the year. Aachen follows, then Bouillon in Belgium by way of the Eifel National Park, then a rest day in Luxembourg reached via Vianden and Spa-Francorchamps, which gives the trip a second famous circuit.

The second half turns historical. The Ardennes lead to the Verdun battlefields, where the longest battle of the First World War ran for most of 1916 and the ground is still visibly deformed by it, and then the Maginot Line and the Trifels fortress. The run home follows the upper middle Rhine and the German Wine Road, past the Loreley rock above the river and through the Moselle vineyards.

Edelweiss include a choice of BMW motorcycle, nine nights of hotels with some in historic buildings, a guide and a tour book. Flights are separate and the inclusions are not itemised in full on the operator’s page. Prices are per person for 2026. For riders who want circuits, wine and First World War history alongside the roads, this covers more ground than its modest distances suggest.
