Touring Center Alps

One hotel for the whole week and a different ride every day. This is a hub-and-spoke tour based at Seefeld in Tirol, which solves the thing most riders quietly dislike about touring: packing a bag every morning and arriving somewhere new every evening.

Five loop rides are on offer and the rider chooses each day. One goes to King Ludwig’s castles, one over the Kuhtai, one to the Stelvio Pass at 2,758 metres or alternatively to Mustair, one to the Timmelsjoch at 2,509 metres, and one around the Ziller valley. The Silvretta High Alpine Road, the Jaufen Pass and the Ofen Pass all feature as well, so the week covers as many famous passes as a conventional touring itinerary does.

The real advantage is the opt-out. Riding on any given day is entirely optional, so a day off can be spent on the hotel’s pool and spa, on a golf course, walking in the hills or shopping in Innsbruck without anyone having to move a suitcase or rejoin a group. For a mixed party, where one person wants the Stelvio and another would rather not, this format resolves the argument before it starts.

Edelweiss include a choice of BMW motorcycle, six nights at the single hotel with its full amenities, the guided daily loops and a tour book. Flights are separate. An Alps riding preparation course can be added for 420 euros per person and a guided city tour of Innsbruck for 350 euros with a 65 euro single supplement. Prices are per person for 2026. For families, for first-timers in the Alps, and for anyone who has had enough of hotel-hopping, this is the sensible way to do a week here.
