5 nights through France

Five nights between Nice and Monaco, with the Alpes-Maritimes and Provence in between. Four driving days, and a week that works its way inland before coming back to the coast for the finish.

The driving starts with the Col de Vence above Saint-Paul-de-Vence and crosses to the Gorges du Verdon, then takes the Route des Crêtes, the rim road that runs the canyon’s edge with the drop on one side and nothing much on the other. A day in the Luberon brings Mont Ventoux and Gordes. The route then returns to the Verdon by way of the lavender plains of Valensole and the Lac de Sainte-Croix, before the final drive takes the Col de Turini, three hairpinned ascents used by the Monte Carlo Rally for decades, and comes down into Monte Carlo and the Grand Prix circuit.

Five nights across four hotels: the Martinez at Cannes, two at Le Couvent des Minimes in the Luberon, the Domaine du Mas de Pierre at Vence and the Fairmont Monte Carlo to close.

A Porsche 718 Boxster GTS and a McLaren Artura Spider are the cars offered. You drive alone with a curated itinerary, an eRoadbook and navigation paired to the car, and the season runs April to November. The Col de Turini is what separates this from the shorter Riviera weeks, and it is reason enough on its own. It suits a driver who wants a rally stage and a Grand Prix circuit in the same trip, with a convent in the lavender in the middle.
