A place on the start line, and a crew of your own
The Mille Miglia ran as a race 24 times between 1927 and 1957, from Brescia to Rome and back, and it survives today as a regularity event for the cars that were eligible then. The Fast Lane Club’s 2027 package is built around getting a car and its crew onto that start line. It covers guaranteed entry, subject to scrutineering, transport of the car to Italy and home again, and a dedicated support crew that stays with the car for the whole week.
The ten days open on Friday 21 May at the Villa del Sogno above Lake Garda, with two nights there before the cars move into the paddock in Brescia for administration checks and scrutineering. Sunday brings a police-escorted run to the Piazza Vittoria for the sealing ceremony, where crews collect their Chopard watch. The event itself starts on the Monday afternoon on Viale Venezia and runs for six days over roughly 1,200 miles, through Parma, Florence, Rome, Cervia and Verona before returning to Brescia.
Each car is assigned its own support crew. Vehicles are checked and serviced every evening and warmed up ready each morning, and a customer service vehicle moves luggage ahead and handles hotel check-in so rooms are waiting on arrival. The package covers ten nights in four and five star hotels for two people sharing, with meals, route books, team racewear, paddock admission, temporary Italian race licences and help with FIVA accreditation and the Registro application.
The car is the one significant thing not included. Entries are limited to models built before 1957, and The Fast Lane Club will help source an eligible car for anyone who needs one. Fuel, insurance, pre-race preparation and flights to Italy sit outside the package. Two people share the driving and the navigation, and the route book system of average speed tests and time trials rewards a crew that has worked out its method before it reaches Brescia.
